Amour Harp graduated in 2007 from the University of Huddersfield with an Upper Second Degree in Music, having previously studied Piano at Trinity College of Music, in London. Since her graduation she has been in demand as a harpist, performing all over the country: on the television, for royalty, MP’s, and even rock stars.
Previous engagements include providing music at a drinks reception for HRH Queen Elizabeth II on her visit to the University of Huddersfield, at the new London Venue King’s Place for their corporate opening ceremony, on Channel 4’s television series Come Dine With Me, for a party hosted by rock band The Cure, and for PRS for Music's Christmas charity luncheon alongside their guest speaker Rick Wakeman.
In 2004, Amour Harp performed with the Brighton Youth Orchestra at Glyndebourne Opera House, and at the Brighton Dome in a concert featuring Evelyn Glennie. During her time at Huddersfield she performed regularly with the orchestra, symphonic wind orchestra and new music ensemble, with whom she performed a concert as part of the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival and which was subsequently broadcast on BBC radio 3. She performed again for the festival in 2007, in an ensemble of 20 harpists, including Rhodri Davies and Eira Lynne Jones. She has also performed regularly with the Worthing Philharmonic Orchestra.
In 2009, Amour Harp resumed her harp studies with Helen Arnold, achieving a high distinction for her final Grade 8, and the ABRSM Diploma in Performance.
Amour Harp is available for hire for all kinds of functions. She has played for weddings and other events in churches, castles, hotels, stately homes, museums, colleges and universities, spas and even at the Houses of Parliament. Her varied repertoire ranges from classical and folk to more popular pieces.
Your Event Amour Harp can learn a request provided she has at least 4 weeks' notice and feels they are suitable to learn on the harp.

"We found Alive Network very easy to deal with. Almour Harp not only played beautifully, she looked like part of the wedding party, dressed for the occasion.
She really added to the atmosphere of the wedding in particular during the ceremony, making the ceremony even more beautiful.

"Alive Network was very easy to use and understand and my Alive Network coordinator was very helpful and made everything very clear to me and answered any questions that I had. Took the worry of having to hunt around and then chase an act/artist up due to having a coordinator do it for you.
Amour Harp was very pleasant, professional and polite. She played beautifully and covered a range of different songs to cover all ages and tastes in music. All of our guests commented on how good she was and how lovely it was to have a harpist at our wedding. She dressed up in a beautiful dress to match the occasion and I thought that was a very nice touch. I would highly recommend her.

"Rebecca at Alive was really superb: she put my mind at ease when discussing the initial booking, was always available by phone and email to answer queries, was so helpful in offering advice and discussing costs and details in the initial stages that I really had no worries at all. I would absolutely recommend that other brides use Alive as not only was the service excellent value, but Rebecca was a really pleasure to deal with and so reassuring throughout the process.
Equally, Amour Harp was really outstanding: she was so helpful in the early stages in giving us advice about music choices and what would work well at different parts of the ceremony and so set our minds at ease. Moreover, her playing was absolutely spectacular and all our guests were so impressed with how beautiful her music truly was. It set the tone for the whole event, which felt sophisticated and romantic, which was exactly what we wanted. She was professional from start to finish and truly made our ceremony really wonderful for us both as well as our guests, and we will certainly remember it for the rest of our lives!
