The Scottish harp, or clarsach (Gaelic word for harp), has a beautiful graceful appearance and full rich sound that adds elegance and charm to any event. From weddings to corporate functions, the sophistication of the Celtic harp adds a unique, unforgettable quality to your event.
Jennifer Brown has been performing Celtic music around the world for over ten years, specialising particularly in Scottish music. She has performed in Germany, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, France, throughout the United States as far as Alaska, and across the UK.
She gained an Honours degree in Scottish music from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow in 2006, where she had a full scholarship from the Associated Board of Music. In November of 2009, she was awarded a Masters degree from the University of Edinburgh.
As well as solo harp, Jennifer also performs with a variety of bands. Her duo with cello has proved exceedingly popular for folk festivals throughout Europe as well as weddings and corporate events in the UK. The combination of the harp and cello forms rich and varied musical textures with a distinctive style. Their energetic performances and warm stage presence dispel any stereotypes of stuffy instrumentalists and prove the effectiveness of this unusual lineup. Scottish songs can also be added for performances.
**PLEASE NOTE** Jennifer doesn't take enquiries more than 12 months in advance and July and August no more than 6 months in advance of the event date.

“Thanks so much for your lovely playing at the wedding. It was mentioned to me by so many of the guests who said how beautiful it was.” -Trish
“I would be happy to recommend you to anyone I know, you were amazing and everyone was complimenting you. Thank you so much!” -Tracy
“A heartfelt thank you for playing at our wedding a few weeks ago. You truly created a beautiful atmosphere and it was so lovely to enter to the Botanics with your music and a lovely 'buzz' to the place. Your contribution was so integral to the atmosphere we wanted to create and I'm so pleased that you enjoyed taking part in our wedding. And, what a lovely day we had in the end! Thanks again for playing at our wedding and I'm sure we'll see you in the future. All the best, Kate”
“I just wanted to thank you so much for the beautiful music you played last week at our wedding. It really set the atmosphere in the church that we were hoping for. People warned me that I wouldn't remember much about the ceremony and a lot of it is a blur but I do remember the music and it was really perfect. I hope to be able to come and see you play in the future. Thanks again, Suzanne & Matt”
