Calculating artists fees

All artists fees shown on our web site are intended as a guide to the price range the band fall within. In the majority of cases the band will charge close to the lower figure shown.

However, if the band will need to travel a great distance to perform, stay overnight, hire larger PA or lighting systems, provide additional stage equipment, or perform for longer than usual etc, then they may need to charge more to accommodate your event.

In every instance, Alive Network will negotiate the best possible deal for both our clients and our bands.

It is always advisable to call us direct or use our general enquiries form when trying to ascertain the cost of a particular band. We can usually quote immediately if you can provide us with details such as event location, time artists are required and event size.

Artist performance fee: From approx.£50 - £100 per person for classical musicians and £100 - £300 per person for bands. (These fees vary depending on the experience of the performers, how in demand they are, how long they will be performing and travelling to your event etc)

Artist travel fees: From approx. £30 - £200 per performance depending on travel distance and van size required. Artists travel fees go towards van hire, petrol/diesel, vehicle maintenance, insurance, road tax. Please note that these fees are usually included in the quote which we give you.

Also consider: The band/artists may only perform for 2 hours at your event but they may have travelled for up to 5 hours to get to it. They will also have rehearsed to prepare for your event and may only work on common gig nights "Thursday, Friday, Saturday'. Once expenses for travel, equipment hire, equipment maintenance and purchase etc have been taken out, they aren't left with a fortune.

Whilst we will try to negotiate the best possible deal for our clients, we are very aware that the bands deserve to be paid at an appropriate level to their ability and experience, after expenses.
