How can I hear the artists I'd like to book?
Most artists have audio files on their web page here at Alive Network. To listen to the audio files you'll need 'RealPlayer' installed on your PC and a set of speakers or headphones plugged in. Simply click the name of the song you'd like to listen to on the artists web page and their song will begin playing within a few seconds.

You can also order our 'Free Sample CD'.

Can I go to see a band before I decide to book them?
In some special circumstances this is possible. As a general rule we do not give out out contact information for our bands for obvious reasons. However, we do organise client showcase events throughout the year where you can come and see a selection of our bands performing at a local hotel, university or live music venue. Please call for details of forthcoming events.

How do I know if band are available?
Once you have made an enquiry, Alive Network will contact the artist(s) to check their availability. We will then contact you to confirm and you can make your decision. When checking the availability of an artist you are under no obligation to book them.

Can I reserve a band without confirming the booking?
We can only hold a band for you for 24 hours. It may be the case that the band remain available for longer but Alive Network cannot guarantee this. To reserve a band for a longer period of time you must pay a booking deposit. To reserve a band fill out our 'Booking Request Form' and we will contact you to confirm your reservation.

How do I make a booking?
Bookings can be made via phone, email, or via our 'Booking Request Form'.  Click here for our contact page

Will I get a contract?

Every booking will first be confirmed verbally, then via a Booking Contract. This contract guarantees your booking and confirms all of the fine details such as arrival times, payment instructions, set times, venue address and our terms and conditions of booking.

Do I need to pay a deposit?
All wedding, corporate, private and university bookings are subject to a 15% booking deposit. This deposit is payable at the time of booking.
Bookings at Night Clubs and live music venues do not always need to pay advance deposits. Please ask.

What payment methods can I use?
You can pay your booking deposit to Alive Network as follows:
a) By Cheque or postal order (payable to 'Alive Network')
b) By credit card (via our web site or over the phone)
c) Direct transfer into our bank account (please ask for details)

You can pay the artists as follows:
a) Advance payment to 'Alive Network' as shown above
b) Cash on the night of the event
c) Cheque on the night of the event, payable to the band (or in special circumstances to 'Alive Network')
d) Direct transfer to the artists bank account on the day of the event (please ask for details)
e) Direct transfer to the 'Alive Network's bank account on the day of the event (please ask for details)

How long do the bands play for?
Most bands usually play a minimum of 2 x 45 mins sets. Many function/wedding bands play for longer, usually around 2 x 60mins.
Some tribute bands, specialist acts and classical artists play to suit the occasion and this will be discussed at the time of booking. As an example, a Harpist may play for 40 mins at a wedding ceremony and a Britney Spears Tribute artist may only play 40 mins worth of hit singles. Either way, all artists will be suggested for their complete suitability for your event and we will discuss with you at the time of booking, how long you'd like the artists to perform.

Will the artists supply their own equipment?
Unless a suitable system is already installed at the venue, or if the event is on a particularly large scale, the band will provide all of their own equipment. Alive Network can arrange PA and Lighting hire on request and this will also be discussed at the time of booking.

Will the band provide any background music?
Yes, most of the bands who play at private functions, weddings and corporate events will also provide a CD player and play background music in between sets. Please specify if you will require this service when you make your booking. Some times there may be a small additional charge. Professional DJ's can also be provided in some circumstances. Please ask.

What if the band don't turn up?
This has never happened yet.
However, if an artist is too ill to play, the band can usually find a 'dep' (stand in musician). If worst comes to worst and the band just can't attend, we have a huge roster of suitable replacements and will go out of our way to find one for your event, even if it is at the last minute. With over 1500+ artists on our roster and with contacts at all the other main agencies in the UK, getting hold of artists is never a problem.
