With their blend of jazz jive swing and an original twist on pop Hullabaloo are an ideal band for any occasion. Made up of double bass saxophone guitar drums and specialising in vocal harmonies their versatility allows them to adapt a vast array of songs to venues of any size. From family parties to summer festivals and weddings to wild corporate functions Hullabaloo are sure to get the crowd going.

So who are the band members that whip up a storm? They are four professional musicians who originate from South-east England.

Jarrod Coombes on double bass and lead vocals counts Nat King Cole Bobby Darren and Ella Fitzgerald as his vocal heroes.

Both Jarrod and guitarist Jim Knowler have been heavily influenced by Belgian gypsy jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt. As well as singing backing vocals Jim also arranges the vocal harmonies and takes his inspiration from the Everly Brothers.

Drums are played by Shaun O'Keeffe whose roots are in Rockabilly but whose talents now span to jazz and swing. Shaun also adds to the bands superb four part harmonies.

The newest member of the band is saxophonist Ivan Thompson whose idols include Zoot Sims Junior Walker and King Curtis.

Together these four individuals come to produce a distinctive sound that once heard is rarely forgotten.

In addition to being highly original Hullabaloo come with a pretty impressive CV. Not only do they regularly play around England and Europe such as festivals like the Cork Jazz Festival in Ireland the band has also played in South Africa and Dubai. They were invited to play at the wedding of TV chef Jamie Oliver. Closer to home Hullabaloo are regulars at the Pizza express Jazz Club Maidstone and the 100 Club London both popular venues for Jazz legends.

Their versatile repertoire of classic hits spanning the 1930’s to the present day, played with the enthusiasm and professionalism is sure to impress any audience.
