Professional wedding singer prices vary depending on the line-up you choose, travel, experience, your wedding date, and the package or performance times you choose.

In 2026, couples pay an average £450 for a solo wedding singer, typically including 2 x 60-minute sets and the required PA/amplification. Duos average around £770, while a 4-6-piece gospel choir typically costs £1,200-£1,800.

For the most popular summer Saturdays, we recommend booking 6-9 months in advance to give you the widest choice of available singers, although most couples book around 4-5 months ahead.

FAQs

Wedding singers don’t usually need much room. As a guide, allow around 2 x 2 metres for a solo singer and 3 x 2 metres for a duo, with a little more space for singer-pianists or larger vocal groups. They’ll also need enough room for their microphone, PA, instruments and stands. If space is tight, let us know and we can recommend singers with particularly compact setups.

Most wedding singers need around 30-60 minutes to set up and soundcheck before performing, depending on their equipment and line-up. A simple acoustic setup can be quicker, while singers using a larger PA, backing tracks or additional instruments may need longer. Your singer will confirm their requirements in advance so setup can be worked around your venue and wedding timings.

Most wedding singers bring the PA, microphones and instruments needed for their performance. They’ll usually require a safe performance area, access to a nearby power supply, and enough time to set up and soundcheck. For outdoor performances, suitable shelter and access to power may also be required. Exact requirements vary, so check the individual artist profile or ask us before booking.

Yes, many wedding singers can perform outdoors for ceremonies, drinks receptions and garden celebrations, provided conditions are suitable. They’ll normally need a dry, level performance area, protection from rain and direct sun, and access to power if using amplification. Outdoor performances are always weather-dependent, so it’s worth agreeing a suitable indoor backup location with your venue.

Often, yes. Solo wedding singers and acoustic duos can be particularly well suited to venues with sound restrictions because their setups and volume can be easier to manage than a full band.
