Everything I could have wished for for my 60th birthday.

5 stars - Celtica are Highly Recommended
booked Celtica for their event in Worcestershire

“Everything I could have wished for for my 60th birthday. The guests loved them. Nothing too much trouble. They even let my niece use a speaker and microphone to play a piece on her keyboard as they packed up. I loved the Irish music and I was surprised to see so many people dance.”

They were absolutely fantastic. I don't think we could have got a better band.

5 stars - Celtica are Highly Recommended
booked Celtica for their event at The Humber in West Midlands

“They were absolutely fantastic. I don't think we could have got a better band. Such a variety of music to meet everyone's taste while still keeping the Irish theme throughout which was just perfect. They were great musicians with great voices. Everyone is still talking about how fantastic they were and have asked me for their details. I would not consider anyone else if I was having another party.”

Their performance was fantastic and everybody loved them.

Celtica is an amazing party band

5 stars - Celtica are Highly Recommended
booked Celtica for their event

“What a great night! We had guests from France, Northern Ireland, Scotland and The Midlands - and the dance floor never emptied. When we began the evening, we thought everyone would sit and watch for a while before they warmed up - I'm so glad you were having none of that! You insisted on high energy from the start, and it worked wonderfully. Celtica is an amazing party band - totally geared to fun and dancing all night. We had a ball. Thank you so much.”

What Celtica Offer

Celtica is an exciting band full of fun personalities that really appreciate how wonderful it is to make a living from music. And to this end they throw their hearts and souls into ensuring your event will be the most enjoyable possible.

Playing both acoustically and with high-quality backing tracks where required, this band offers live guitar, fiddle, whistle, harmonica and three harmony vocals. The lead man Aidan, is also a respected player of the Uillean pipes, with their haunting tones so reminiscent of Irish music.
The band's offering is hugely varied, covering traditional, celtic pop, mainstream pop and rock plus a bit of traditional, with a carefully-designed set list that includes massive party favourites – everything from 500 Miles (The Proclaimers) to Come On Eileen (Dexys), Fairytale of New York (The Pogues), Dirty Old Town (The Pogues) and lots more.

The Feedback
From weddings, festivals and village halls, through to ships on the high seas, the band has played (and delighted) audiences everywhere.

"We've got a chain of pubs and clubs. Ring them all and tell them I told you to book you!"
Manager, Birmingham Irish Centre.

"Thank you for turning an event into an unforgettable occasion.”
Anne Jarrett, wedding at Alton Castle (texting from her honeymoon!)

"Tremendous. Everybody was talking about you over the entire weekend. And thank you for doing an extra spot when the DJ didn't turn up!"
Maggie Jephcott, Events Co-ordinator, Spice Birmingham

"I cried at the end of the night. Not at how much it had cost me, but how fabulous you'd been. You united guests from Scotland, Wales, England and Ireland. Thank you so much."
D. Buchanan, Isle of Skye

The Band Members
Celtica consists of three vocalists/musicians with a wealth of varied experience.

Aidan, the guitarist/vocalist and piper has a huge amount of experience - from touring with the Dublin Philharmonic orchestra, to supporting The Dubliners, The Fureys and Christy Moore in concert. A phenomenal musician and all-round charming Irish man.

Ruth is the fiddle player and vocalist – her strength is tricky rhythms and fantastic vocal harmonies. She’s not averse to the odd toot on her tin whistle either, especially when it comes to Fairytale of New York!

And finally there’s Emma – with a lilting flute-like voice, and fantastic bodhran, she found celtic music a few years ago and hasn’t looked back. And with her flowing red locks, she's fairly easy on the eye too!
Emma also acts as the caller for any Ceilidh during the evening.

And More….
So combine this wealth of talent together, and you get Celtica. An exciting, fun and flexible party band that will literally have you up and dancing a few songs into the first set. The material covers over five decades – everything from Amy MacDonald through to The Pogues, The Corrs, The Proclaimers, Dexys Midnight Runners and lots more. And for balance, there’s plenty of non-celtic music too – Mammas & Pappas (California Dreaming); Fairground Attraction (Perfect); Fleetwood Mac (Dreams); Abba (Mamma Mia/Take A Chance on Me); The Commitments (Mustang Sally) - and tons more!

So don’t forget – with such a mixed set list – Celtica are not just for St Patrick’s night! They’ve had equal success playing at summer balls, garden parties and lots more. Just specify the event, and they’ll put together a set list that’s perfect for you. It’s what they live (and play) for!

Also available as a male/female duo with all instruments listed above.
