Beautiful Live Guitar Music for Weddings, Parties & Events

Evocative, romantic and wonderfully versatile, live classical guitar creates an atmosphere your guests can enjoy without overpowering conversation. Whether you're planning an intimate wedding ceremony, a sun-soaked drinks reception or an elegant corporate dinner, hiring a classical guitarist adds a personal touch that recorded music simply can't match.

Find Your Perfect Guitarist

Our classical guitarists perform far more than traditional classical music. Choose a classical wedding guitarist to play delicate, romantic melodies for your ceremony, a Spanish guitarist to evoke Mediterranean warmth, or a flamenco guitarist to add passionate rhythms and flair.

Repertoires can include classical favourites by Bach, Tárrega and Albéniz, beautiful Latin American pieces, jazz standards, film soundtracks and instrumental arrangements of modern pop songs. Each musician has their own style, so explore their videos and song lists to discover who best suits your tastes.

Wedding Ceremony & Reception Music

A solo classical guitarist is a beautiful choice for your wedding entrance, signing the register and ceremony exit. Many can also perform during your drinks reception or wedding breakfast, creating a relaxed soundtrack while guests mingle, dine and celebrate. Have a meaningful song in mind? Ask about special requests when enquiring.

Booking Your Classical Guitarist

Before booking, consider the size of your performance space and the number of guests. Classical guitars have a naturally gentle sound, so amplification may be useful for larger gatherings or outdoor celebrations. Check each artist's profile to see what equipment is provided as standard.

Prices for our classical guitarists start from £203, with most customers in 2026 paying around £387. The most popular performance format is two 45-minute sets, which, for wedding bookings, are usually split between the ceremony and drinks reception.

We've booked classical guitarists for over 1696 events to date, including bookings for leading organisations such as the Financial Times, HSBC, KPMG, IMG and Wentworth Club. If you need any advice, our experienced team will be very happy to help.

With secure booking contracts and 24/7 emergency support from Alive Network, finding the perfect guitarist is refreshingly straightforward.

Classical Guitarist Booking FAQs

What you need to know when hiring a classical guitar player

Our classical guitarists perform a wonderfully varied repertoire, from timeless classical pieces by composers such as Bach, Tárrega and Albéniz to romantic Spanish guitar, flamenco, Latin American melodies and jazz standards. Many also play beautiful instrumental arrangements of modern pop songs, film soundtracks and well-known favourites. Every guitarist has their own musical style and repertoire, so explore their profiles, watch performance videos and browse their song lists to find the perfect soundtrack for your event. Have a particular song in mind? Many of our guitarists can accommodate special requests with advance notice.

A set list for each artist is featured on their individual profile page, and if you need some inspiration for your wedding day check out our article Top 20 Guitar Songs for Weddings.

Classical guitarists are a wonderfully versatile choice for weddings, corporate events, drinks receptions, private parties and elegant dinners. From romantic ceremony music and relaxed background melodies to lively Spanish guitar and flamenco, they can create the perfect atmosphere without overpowering conversation.

A solo classical guitarist needs very little performance space (around 2 square metres), making them ideal for intimate venues. Most can also provide amplification for larger gatherings or outdoor events, with some offering battery-powered equipment where mains power isn't available.

For a fuller sound, some of our guitarists can also perform alongside other musicians. Simply let us know what you have in mind, and we'll help you find the perfect fit.

The average price of a classical guitar player in 2026 is around £387. Prices vary depending on the experience of the guitarist, performance times and travel.

Most classical guitarists will perform two 45-minute sets, with a break of around 15 minutes’ in-between. In many cases, they will be willing to play for longer – often up to 3 hours. You can find the booking options on each classical guitarist’s profile page.

A classical guitarist only needs a small space of around 2 x 2 meters to perform. They will usually perform seated, and may also bring a music stand, microphone stand and a small amplifier.

Very little! Our classical guitarists bring their own instruments and usually provide any amplification needed. You'll just need to arrange:

Performance space: A safe, dry, flat area of around 2 square metres, with an armless chair.
Power: A nearby plug socket if amplification is required, unless the guitarist uses battery-powered equipment.
Parking and access: Convenient parking and easy access to the performance area.
Venue contact: Someone to greet your guitarist and show them where to set up.
Refreshments: Soft drinks and, for longer bookings, possibly a meal.

For outdoor performances, you'll also need to provide suitable shelter from the weather. Your booking coordinator can confirm any specific requirements in advance.
