Introducing Funkateers, a group of five experienced musicians hailing from Brighton, united through their mutual passion for timeless funk and soul music.

Funkateers' repertoire is a fusion of contemporary and timeless funk and soul tracks carefully curated to cater to a diverse audience. Striking a seamless blend of mellow, soulful melodies mixed with high-energy tunes, Funkateers can wow their crowd as well as getting everyone up dancing. Funkateers are always open to tailoring their live sound to suit your desired ambiance and are more than willing to accommodate a couple of song requests if there are specific tracks you'd like to hear.

Meet The Band
Marian, the band's lead vocalist, boasts a remarkable two-decade career performing with bands in both Nigeria and Australia. Her extraordinary vocal prowess and versatility enablse her to pay homage to legendary artists like Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, and Jocelyn Brown.

The band’s keys player Miles performs regularly solo on piano and vocals around Brighton and composes and releases his own music.

Bassist Ben is a dedicated lover of groove, having been tap dancing since the age of 8. He has not only performed with West African drumming ensembles in the UK and Senegal but also drummed for years with the renowned Carnival Collective in Brighton.

Reece, Funkateers' guitarist, can be found gracing festivals and events across the UK as a member of the up-and-coming band Avije. Additionally, he delivers soulful fingerstyle guitar performances at weddings and various events throughout the country.

Conor, the band's drummer, is a recent graduate of BIMM (British and Irish Modern Music Institute) and is a regular member of the house band at Casablanca's, which is recognized as Brighton's premier venue for live music.
