With swing music literally coursing through his veins (Russell is the son of an ex B.B.C. big band recording artist) he grew up with the sounds of Frank Sinatra Dean Martin Tony Bennett and Nat King Cole filling the air and so it came as no surprise that he followed in his father's footsteps and he has carved out a successful career performing across the UK and Europe.
With clients such as Ferrari Bentley and Jaguar amongst many other blue chip companies having him perform at corporate events along with private parties for David Beckham and many other celebrities his talent has remained in great demand.
Russell was also chosen to sing at the wedding of England and Manchester Utd footballer Wes Brown and his performance was highlighted in OK Magazine.
Recent television appearances including the hit reality show "four weddings" along with guest artist slots on Granada daytime TV have raised Russell’s profile even higher making him one of the most sought after performers around.
As well as remaining faithful to the ‘crooners’ of the past Russell’s repertoire includes many songs from the Robbie Williams swing album and also new tracks performed by Michael Buble such as Home Everything Lost Haven't Met You Yet and Hold on.

"Russell Shaun and his band turned up to our wedding venue early and were set up and ready when our evening guests started to arrive. They were all very smartly dressed. Russell accommodated us well by setting up and playing our first dance song with out any problems.
Russell's performance's was fantastic, his voice was amazing, we had a lot of compliments about the group and would not hesitate to book them again.
A big thank you to Russell Shaun and his band for making our evening just perfect, and Alive Network for making it so easy to book. Would highly recommend both to anyone!"

"We had Russell Shaun and his five piece band play at our summer wedding at the Armathwaite Hotel in the Lake District, Cumbria July 2011.
Russell and the band were absolutely fantastic. Both my husband and I knew we wanted a swing band and so booked Russell a year before our big day so to secure him playing at our wedding.
They played their swing sets and DJed for us wearing smart dickey bows and suits and looked every inch the professionals.
Russell’s voice was amazing and certainly made our night when he sang our first dance song again as the last song of the evening, it did make me shed a tear!
The songs he played with the band got all our guests on the dance floor and played a range of songs from different eras which everyone knew and loved.
We would like to say a massive thank you to Russell and his band who made our wedding reception so memorable.
Hope to use him again in the near future.

Our co-ordinator Rebecca, was very polite, organised, efficient & above all, friendly. The price range was fair & catered for many options. Our overall experience of AliveNetwork was 10 out of 10.
Russell Shaun was a fabulous addition to our wedding evening. He was professional yet friendly and polite. He arrived, set up & sought out the appropriate staff members on time & without fuss. He was adaptable & flexible when his set time changed & he was extremely sociable, during his time between sets.
He looked fantastic, worked well with our theme of Hollywood glamour/Rat Pack Swing, sang superbly, entertained our guests brilliantly but most of all, he learnt a song to sing for my mother & father which enabled them to jive together to a genre of swing music that they enjoy most-this made my Dad's evening & further entertained our guests!
Russell was amazing & we were so glad he was able to sing at our wedding. We were 100% satisfied with his performance & would highly recommend him.
