Lady Motown is one of the few female singers doing an all-Motown tribute. With her 3-octave vocal range she can belt out songs from not only the girl groups but also from artists like The Temptations Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder. She recently performed for hundreds of people weekly in theatres all over the UK as part of the hit Motown show "How Sweet It Is".

Lady Motown's solo show comes with a variety of different options. If youʼd like a 2-set performance the first set can contain a Diana Ross mini tribute or can focus on the songs of the much loved and recently departed Michael Jackson during his Motown years. Or if for example youʼd like some mellow music during a sit-down dinner Shola can provide a jazz set. The second set will then be her trademark “Motown Party” set put together to get people on the dance floor for a good boogie.

Onstage Lady Motown has all the grace glitz and glamour of a true diva. She performs wearing beautiful custom-designed evening gowns and truly looks the part with her graceful silhouette lovely smile beehive hairdo and diamante jewellery. She can also slip into a mini dress and go-go boots for a more casual look and loves to “get down” during the party numbers.

Her vocals have been described as sounding like “chocolate soul” and she has a big voice that attracts positive feedback wherever she sings. With a warm inviting stage presence and charming persona itʼs hard not to be enthralled by her performance.

A favourite part of the show is when she invites two of the audience up on stage to be “The Supremes”. Theyʼre given their own microphones and tambourines and Lady Motown runs through a dance routine with them before the “backing singers” perform a song with her. It certainly gives everyone a night to remember!

She spent eight years living in the USA and worked with one of the world's top vocal coaches Seth Riggs (heʼs coached Stevie Wonder Natalie Cole Michael Jackson and Luther Vandross). Shola has sung at gigs supporting stars like Paul Young and Tony Hadley at top venues such as Shepherdʼs Bush Empire and Hyde Park and has entertained at many weddings parties and corporate functions in front of audiences as large as 15000. She has also performed overseas in cities such as New York Los Angeles and Moscow. She has also sung in Bahrain and been featured on Iranian TV.

The show can come with just Lady Motown and PA or for larger events she can provide a 5kW PA full stage lighting large backdrop disco and sound/lighting engineer.

If you opt for the live jazz show you wonʼt be disappointed. Lady Motown had a year-long residency at a popular central London venue performing her jazz set to many highly satisfied customers. Her band members have played with Courtney Pine Soul II Soul Chaka Khan The Waterboys and other successful acts. She has been praised for her great jazz phrasing and loves singing the standards.

And for when just one diva isn't enough you can book 'The Motown Sisters'. Available in duo or trio format Lady Motown teams up with one or two additional girls. Both are amazing singers in their own right and have appeared in West End shows on television and all around the world from Amsterdam to Australia! You are guaranteed an electrifying show of Motown hits!!
