Line up: 5 piece band: drums, bass, guitar, sax and vocals
The Quintet was formed 4 years ago and can provide mellow and sophisticated jazz standards from the great American songwriters such as Irving Berlin Gershwin and Cole Porter plus bossas and gentle Latin rhythms. Ideal for listening or to provide relaxed background music.
When livelier more up beat music is required the quintet can play swing, jive and blues to get everyone on their feet and dancing. All the musicians are professional and highly regarded on the London jazz scene.
The quintet can dress in black or white DJ’s or smart casual clothes.
Previous clients include: Royal Albert Hall, Kensington, Pizza on the Park, Knightsbridge, Roehampton University Students Union, Sir Cameron Macintosh’s private party, Royal Society of Medicine, London School of Economics, Sir Robert McAlpine’s private party, New Zealand House, London, Life Guards Barracks, Knightsbridge, Spalding Music Festival.
Eric Gilchrist sings as well as playing sax. A female vocalist can also be added if required.
Keyboards and a small PA and lighting can be provided.

""With a bit of imagination (and a glass of nice wine) the music transports you to much warmer tropical places like Brazil with its swaying Bossa nova.
Eric makes playing the saxophone look simple and has a singing voice reminiscent of old blue eyes himself.
The whole band are relaxed and enjoying themselves - which makes us in the audience relax too. Accomplished, professional and a great night out.""

"We just wanted to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the fabulous atmosphere you created at Chateau Cazenac for Joni & I.
The evening took its own course as we forgot our speeches & thanks, fought with our caterers & generally bumbled through the evening - thankfully we had some professionals around such as yourselves and we thought it was a great start to the festivities...please pass on our thanks to the rest of the guys - you were all GREAT!!!"
