Straight No Chaser are based in Lancashire and are available for hire for parties and corporate functions across the UK. They can enhance any event with live guitar and saxophone music playing a large repertoire of jazz standards and popular songs.
Straight No Chaser have their own portable amplification with no need for a mains supply (please note; portable amplification is suitable for duo only). This means there is huge logistical flexibility; they can play in any area and even outdoors with minimal fuss. Set up time is incredibly fast and hassle free only taking 10 minutes upon arrival to set up and play.

We recommend the duo or trio for subtle background ambience whereas the quartet below is more appropriate as the main feature of an event.

Dean Masser is a jazz saxophonist, composer and educator. After graduating from Leeds College of Music he became a member of the Jack Parnell Quartet, which recorded a live album during a week-long stint at Ronnie Scott's.
Since then, Dean has played alongside many of the leading names in British jazz at numerous venues and festivals. He has many television and radio appearances to his credit, and released his first album as leader in 2010.
Rick Holmes is a talented graduate from Leeds College of Music graduate with a BA (Hons) in Jazz studies. In 2008/2009 he held the guitar chair in the LCM Big Band, which toured the North of England and performed in the BBC venue with special guest Steve Waterman. Rick has played countless professional gigs and has been featured as a session guitarist on numerous releases.
