“We had Black and Gold for our wedding. It was a smart 130 person wedding in a Marquee in Berkshire. The band were fantastic - they read the crowd very well and kept the dance floor busy from beginning to end. They were super easy to work with and took very little effort from us. The band even made and performed a new arrangement of our first dance song, Everlasting Love. They fielded a guitar and sax duo during the drinks reception which perfectly complemented the atmosphere. I actually fractured my rib two days before the wedding, but I couldn’t stop dancing cos every song was perfect and there was never one I felt I could sit out. “We weren’t sure if I wanted a wedding band and then we stumbled across these guys! We were perhaps looking at DJs (as we aren’t hugely into guitar music), but were worried about the lack of energy/vibe just booking a DJ. Discoteca were the perfect choice; Daft Punk, Basement Jaxx, Gorillaz, Hot Chip, Rudimental etc. Right up our street. Very happy!’”
