There were tears , hugs, air guitars, ties wrapped round heads, shirts un-tucked, expensive high heels kicked off and grandparents forgetting their age and aching bones. They created a total comradeship on that dance floor between good friends and family who love a good shindig and would have expected no less at our wedding. We had a great band with such uniqueness and personality who were able to make this all happen and create ever lasting memories through the music they performed. Quite a few of our guests have since told us that The Fanatics were the best band they have seen perform at a wedding. We booked them for an hour's acoustic set at the start of the evening reception, followed by the full band until the end of the night and it worked really well. They played at our daughter's wedding: firstly a set of acoustic jazz (no vocals) during the reception drinks as a background, and in the evening they really got the party started. They played for the newly married couple's first dance and then went for it, starting with James Brown's I Feel Good, and later, their version of Daft Punk's Get Lucky was completely brilliant. They got everyone up dancing straight away (not that they needed much encouragement to be fair) and the floor was full right up to the end when we didn't want them to stop playing! The band members were lovely - they arrived punctually, were polite and attentive and willingly complied with the venue's requests in relation to decibel level and finishing time. We could not have wished for a better band to play on a very special day in all of our lives. We would give them the highest recommendation and send them all our warmest thanks.” Read more
