“I'm originally from NYC and love a good piano bar singalong and wanted to try to recreate that type of atmosphere at the end of the night of our wedding. We brought Steve on to lead a piano-bar style singalong and take requests from guests for about an hour at the very end of the night. As things tend to go, our timeline got a little delayed and a lot of our guests ended up taking the early bus home before Steve's set, but that ended up working out perfectly. Steve was so accommodating, and having a slightly smaller group there made it more intimate and that much more fun! It was important for us to make sure that the singalong set was super fun but still cool and classy, (and not hoaky in any way) and Steve was totally our guy for the job! He was absolutely incredible from start to finish. Not only does he have an unparalleled voice, but his piano skills are totally unmatched. He was able to take requests from his (incredibly extensive) repertoire as well as songs outside of his usual set list which we were able to submit via a handy QR code or shout out the old-fashioned way. In addition to his musical talent, Steve is such a wonderful guy and an absolute pleasure to work with. He worked the room perfectly and was so astute in terms of taking the temperature of the crowd and engaging with our guests, providing some wonderfully playful banter. I was nervous that we had tired out the majority of our guests by that point in the night, but Steve quickly got everyone energized in a really natural and organic way and we all had the most amazing time. Some of my family members who were a little sceptical of the entire singalong idea later said that it was the highlight of the wedding, and I wholeheartedly agree! If we had fully understood just how truly incredible Steve was, we would have made sure to have booked him for hours on end! I could not recommend him more highly as a truly remarkable musician and as a person saying goodbye at the end of the night was the hardest part, none of us wanted it to end!”
