Alive Network are Employer of the Year runners up at the Executive PA Magazine / Hays Awards 2012

We're pleased to announce that Alive Network Entertainment Agency has won second place for Employer of the Year at the Executive PA Magazine / Hays Awards 2012.



The award is given to companies who set the benchmark for creating job satisfaction - from flexible family-friendly hours through to career development and training.

Alive Network is the UK's largest live entertainment booking agency with more than a thousand party bands and entertainers available to hire.

Alive's Managing Director Dave Bevan was nominated for the award by his PA Ingrid Avramovic.



In her nomination, Ingrid cited that . .... the whole team at Alive Network feel like they are treated as individuals. We are all recognised for our hard work and dedication, and are encouraged to learn new skills and develop professionally.  The staff members feel like part of the company, rather than simply another employee, and are all encouraged to contribute to the development of the business.

Dave is well overdue the recognition and acknowledgment for his efforts over the last 13 years in establishing a business that has become nationally renowned in its field.  Alive Network is a business that employs 12 full time and 3 part time staff members who all feel a strong sense of belonging, loyalty and love for their jobs and the business. 

I appreciate all the sacrifices Dave has had to make to keep this company going strong through difficult times economically.  To have him recognised nationally as being a fantastic boss would be a just and appropriate accolade.



Ingrid - who has workedatAlive Network for seven years - collected the award at the black Tie ceremony held at The London Film Museum on Thursday 13th September 2012. The industry leading awards help to recognise and reward achievement for PA's and administrative support staff.

The competition in the Employer of the Year category was fierce, especially for a small company like Alive Network -  with banking giant 'Capital One' winning first place.

For Alive Network, it was fantastic to be nominated and recognised along side companies as prestigious as ITV, Heinz, Deloitte, Carpetright and Premiership Rugby amongst others.

Says Dave, This award really means a lot to me as Alive Network has always been about more than making money. We spend so much of our time at work it should be a really enjoyable and rewarding place to be.

We're a small company and our resources are relatively modest so a lot of our training happens in house. I encourage staff members to follow their own ideas and take ownership of their development, which can lead to better motivated, resourceful people. I also try to ensure the achievements of each member of staff are recognised across the work force and that the whole team feels part of the bigger picture.

Alive Network has always felt more like a family than a company - and it's great to receive an award like this acknowledging the value of that approach.
