"Rabsacallion were fantastic, absolutely brilliant. FUN and FRIENDLY would be the two words I would use to describe them best.
I grew up with ceildhs and so did a number of my guests - but no one was disappointed - they were perfect and really made the night come to life.
Line up:We aim to be as flexible as possible! The standard 6-piece line-up of Fiddles x 2, Irish Whistle, Cajon Percussion, Double Bass, Guitar/Caller, can be augmented with other intruments such as Irish Flute, Accordion, Trumpet, Saxophone, Keyboards, Electric Guitar, Banjo, Bodhran, Celtic Harp, Tuba
Almost any combination is available, to create the perfect atmosphere from formal Ceilidh to evocative duo, to a crazy barndance hoedown! Please enquire for advice.

"Rabscallion were fabulous. Everybody got up dancing except my auntie with double hip replacements. Even my 82 year old mother-in-law and my 83 year old auntie got up. They all said that they wished they would have played all night. My brother-in-law is Scottish and turned up in a kilt and Rabscallion just made his day. The band leader even organised to sing happy birthday for my best friend shortly before the break.
The alive network webpage is well organised because you can choose a genre and then listen to samples for each band. The online quote comes through immediately and you can then chose according to your budget. It couldn’t have been any easier.
Thank you very much for the best wedding I’ve ever been to.

"RABSCALLION ARE FANTASTIC.
We booked them for our wedding and loved every minute of their performance. Incredibly talented musicians who managed to get all of our guests co-ordinated into a magnificent Ceilidh.
My wife and I are very into folk music and play ourselves and Rabscallion even let us play a couple of our songs in the interval. Alive Network were brilliant also.

"The entire process of booking Rabscallion through Alive Network was extremely painless. I always felt confident both in the booking co-ordinator Rebecca, and the band. I also felt I could ask any question at any time and they would get back to me. I tested this theory on a few occasions and it proved true. Robin from Rabscallion was even good enough to answer my call on the way to Glastonbury! I was very picky and a little nervous about booking a band for our wedding as music is very important to both of us, but Rabscallion surpassed our expectations. They provided a rip roaring barn dance that was inclusive for both young and old. It was exciting and accomplished and left the barn audience calling for more."

"Rabscallion were exactly what we had hoped for. They were polite and unassuming and their dress/style was perfect for our wedding.
Robin the band's caller was brilliant. He got all our guests involved and their Irish Folk music spoke for itself. It was brilliant, everyone had such a good time and a real laugh trying to follow the dances! Would recommend them to anyone."

"In a nutshell..........wow, what an evening.
"Rabscallion" were the best. From initial contact with Robin thru to the set up and the gig itself they were brilliant. My party goers absolutely loved them, some of them actually have had your details as they might book them themselves for future parties. We loved them that much that some of us have already booked up to go and see them play in Nottingham later in the year.
"Alive Network" and yourself Clare....brilliant. Never having done anything like this before everything was so simple, professional and well done.....I will certainly be recommending you to others.

"Booking via Alive Network was made very easy. From my first contact with Paul I was impressed as I received a quote within 24 hours and my queries were answered very quickly. The payment process was very smooth too. I liked the fact that I could speak to Robin from Rabscallion directly prior to my wedding to agree the finer details. In terms of the band their Ceilidh music was perfect for our wedding and got everyone up on the dance floor for the first song. Robin’s calling was great as were all of the other musicians. The band were very flexible and worked well with our DJ too.
