The Jazzmatazz quartet was superb.

For many years I have wanted to go on a jazz boat; hiring one for the celebration of my 70th birthday seemed the way to go and I chose The John Rennie restaurant boat on the Kennett and Avon Canal. Alive Network did the task of finding out which of my 3 preferred options was available; Jazzmatazz was my choice. The Jazzmatazz quartet was superb. It is not easy to perform in the confines of a narrow boat surrounded by food and 50 people but they were brilliant. My guests have not stopped talking about it and sending messages of praise for the professional performance they gave which was accompanied by such a warm, friendly approach on the part of all members of the band. One of my friends had requested - if possible - the Humphrey Lyttelton number 'Onions'. I mentioned this to the leader just a couple of days before the event and they played it, thus making someone very happy! If only I can find another occasion to book Jazzmatazz - I'm not sure I can wait till my 75th!
