It wasn't that we caught swine-flu in Cancun... just that it's taken a long time to settle back in to 'normal' life once we got back! This is just a note to say thank you for all the great work you did at our wedding reception. It's more than six weeks ago now, but your presence is still not only a big topic of conversation between us both, but also with everyone else who attended. Your work ethic was superb - so many people commented on how you just didn't stop and, although we had to leave(!), I'm pretty sure you went over and above what you were contracted to do. Everyone who had their caricatures done were delighted with them (as were we), and we're thoroughly looking forward to 'presenting' them to the subjects as we now work our way around the country visiting them with photos and honeymoon stories. I have a feeling that your work is going to go on display in many people's houses from what I hear! Thanks also to Lynsey for assisting with the photographs and being an additional friendly presence and for travelling the long journey with you. It still surprises me that over the phone you offered to have people's names written on the back of the caricatures as if we were going to struggle to work out who was who. Clearly, you need a little more confidence in your fantastic skills! My (Jonathan's) Dad was transfixed all night by your work and, if I hadn't had "more important" things to be doing, I feel that I'd have been lurking around quite a bit as well. Your presence was an overwhelming success and our only regret is that some people weren't able to stay long enough to have their caricature guaranteed. We're now trying to think up another event that we can hold - rest assured we'll be promoting your talents to anyone who'll listen! ;o) Once again - thanks so much for all you did.
