Simons Caricatures

Simon is one of the UK’s leading on-the-spot caricaturists. Holding an impressive clientele and a wealth of experience, he has previously drawn for 5 News, Apple, BBC, Channel 4, Deutsche Bank, Google, Hamleys, Johnson and Johnson, Microsoft, Nokia, L’Oreal, Samsung and many more!

Simon’s talent as a cartoonist and caricaturist was apparent from a young age, starting as soon as he were able to grasp a pencil. He later received formal training at art school where, instead of focusing on large-scale oil paintings as intended, he opted to create cartoon illustrations and caricatures (against his tutor’s advice!).

Out in the world of work, Simon learnt the skills of magazine and newspaper design in various publishing houses. It was on the Australasian Express newspaper that he first started supplying cartoons to illustrate articles.

Soon moving to freelance work, Simon built up a list of clients including the Abbey National (now Santander), Daily Mail, Mail on Sunday, Philosophy Now, Pickfords Travel, Rolls-Royce, Sunday Times, Sunday Telegraph, Marathon Oil and many more.

Although an accomplished and in-demand cartoonist for newspapers and magazines, Simon also works as a busy caricaturist at weddings, parties and corporate events.

Delivering entertaining live art which creates lots of laughs amongst guests, Simon concentrates on creating amusing, cheeky (but always polite) likenesses within each portrait.

Black and White Paper Caricatures
As standard, Simon tends to draw in black ink and grey markers on high quality paper. Each caricature takes around 5 minutes to create (averaging around 12 portraits per hour).

Digital Caricatures (please select in booking options if required)
Alternatively, if requested, Simon can produce digital colour caricatures on iPad roughly taking around 8-9 minutes each (covering around 7 guests per hour). The digital caricature is then emailed on the spot to each guest. Please select the booking option for Digital Caricatures if required.
