“The Low Down were the perfect band for the Officers’ Mess Summer Ball at Fort Blockhouse. Communication was hassle free and they arrived early to get set up so were ready in plenty of time. They were really accommodating of our other entertainers, working together to make sure the programme fitted the event. When it came to the music, they were brilliant. A great sound from the 3 piece band, a broad repertoire which kept the dance floor full all night. There were songs to keep everyone happy; I’m pretty sure I saw everyone dancing at some time during the night. The disco between sets was great too; no DJ to get embarrassed by short periods of empty dance floor while we recovered, but a great choice of songs (which we helped pick) kept the dancing going all night and the software for playing it provided a seamless transition between songs giving the impression that a real DJ was spinning the records. Packing away at the end of the night was also painless and allowed the party to finish smoothly. As the organiser, I was really pleased with the ease of booking and arrangements. I enjoyed dancing more than I am used to and was really pleased that so many of the guests gave the thumbs up. I would book The Low Down again without hesitation.” Read more
