We were clear on the type of m...”“Switch are the perfect wedding band and we recommend them whole heartedly to anyone hoping for an amazing party atmosphere where the dance floor is filled all evening, even through the DJ set interval. When researching wedding bands online I remember feeling a certain amount of uncertainly with booking a band that I hadn’t seen live and had never met in person. We were clear on the type of music we wanted and Switch’s repertoire was what initially attracted us to the band as they have a good mix of old classics, 90s and 00s nostalgia and modern hits. All their songs have been carefully picked to ensure people get up dancing. We then watched videos online and Naomi’s (lead singer) voice sealed the deal for us as it is quite honestly outstanding. Our entire interaction with the band, through email and in person, has been professional and at the same time personal. It was clear from the start they wanted to make sure our preferences were catered for, they also seemed to be as excited as us about the event. At our wedding they performed 2 half an hour acoustic sets through the drinks reception, this was the perfect background music to ensure guests were able to relax and mingle whilst at the same time being entertained. They then performed 2 hour sets in the evening with an hour of DJ in the break. We were running behind schedule for most of the wedding and they were flexible and happy to adapt and accommodate our changes in timing. Despite probably being exhausted by the end of the evening they were still in fantastic spirits as they tidied away, chatting to us and even joining in with our drunk impromptu sing a long. Throughout the evening guests continually came up to me to say ‘where did you find these guys they are so good?’ and after the wedding friends and family have commented that ‘the band really made it’. To summarise I would say that Switch are professional, reliable, fun, friendly and outstanding musicians who know how to put on a party. They are also amazing value for money in my opinion. “The Rips were great! Really lively, and fantastic set list. Because there had been a delay to setting up and starting on time, they ran both sets together and did 2 hours in one long slog. This didn't dampen the quality of their performance, and it meant that the party kept going. Wonderful music, better than we had hoped for!”
