The lead up to our big day was quite stressful and we had to reschedule twice because of Covid related restrictions with our venue. The process with Alive Network and the band was faultless and they were all so helpful and friendly. My interactions with Sam from Tuxedo in the few months before the wedding were so fantastic - he really took the time to understand what we wanted in order to make the event as special as it turned out to be. On the night, Sam did an acoustic set before the party which was fantastic and then together with the rest of the band ensured the sets were seamless - their voices, the music - everything was 5*. “Nick and I had been talking about their set for some time, and they were without a doubt the best band we could possibly have picked for our day. Their five-man team, along with a sound engineer, were flawless, and they did not stop cranking out the tunes for a brilliant set. It’s a phone call to let me know my original and carefully organised band has CANCELLED as they all have the dreaded covid!!! The person I spoke to was not the most apologetic and told me finding a band or even a DJ at this late hour was n...”“Where to start!! Well as luck would have it. 5 minutes before leaving the phone rings again! A band has been found would I like them! Hell Yes, I would!! So an unknown band turn up. I haven’t heard any of there songs, they don’t have any of the requests I had carefully collected, they didn’t know the first dance. I won’t lie the bar was set pretty low at this point! But ohhh mamma did they smash that bar, they came out guns blazing and our dance floor was full from start to finish!! I couldn’t have asked for a better band!! We had a catch up over the phone and went through everything together - this was a great way to make sure we were all on the same page and felt like we’d already met Dave before the big day. On the day, the band were nothing short of perfect. They arrived in plenty of time and got busy setting up, but weren’t intrusive in any way. The set up itself was great - it’s really clear that these guys invest in their equipment and use it to it’s full potential. The quality of music from Dirty Weekend was second to none.
