The Swing Smiths Perform For Business Software Giants 'Unit 4' Corporate Entertainment Case Study

On Wednesday 8th February, popular 9 piece corporate event band The Swing Smiths performed at a customer conference hosted by business software company Unit 4. The conference was organised by event coordinators Team Spirit and was held at the ICC in Birmingham's city centre.

Once arriving at the venue, The Swing Smiths loaded in their equipment and took a few minutes to admire the huge stage and massive star-lit backdrop.

With load in and set up complete, it was then time for soundcheck.

Once The Swing Smiths were happy with their sound levels, they then had time to relax and prepare for the night's corporate entertainment.

Much to the bands delight, event hosts Unit 4 kindly provided members with a delicious selection of tasty food before their set.

With over 500 guests to entertain, The Swing Smiths were asked to provide 2 x 45 minute sets during the night.
As the event included a sit down meal, The Swing Smiths planned to play soft background music during their first set, creating the ideal atmosphere for guests to wine and dine too.

Once dinner was out of the way and after a short break, it was then time for The Swing Smith's to raise the atmosphere and get the guests dancing...

Making full use of their amazing brass section, the band's second set of Soul and Motown classics seemed to do just the trick!

Picking up the pace, keyboard player and band leader Mike conducts the band through some of the songs kicking the party into full swing!

With the night drawing to an end, The Swing Smiths finished on a high performing an encore with the classic track New York New York which went down a storm!
