“We found DJ KJF (Kirsty) to be very professional and would highly recommend. Kirsty took the time to call us in advance and really discuss both the music choices but also the wider event plans including, working around the speeches. She contacted the venue manager and the saxophone player we had also organised directly, which was super helpful in terms of taking some of the organisation off our hands. Kirsty even recommended an improvement to the venue floor layout to ensure guests would be encouraged to hit the dance floor – which they did. At all times Kirsty documented what we’d discussed and arranged. Finally, the music was banging. Kirsty offered a broad selection of music and tailored her playlist to exactly the music we wanted. She even went to the trouble of finding the perfect version of our entrance music.”

Their versions were terrific and even learnt a new song for us and smashed it. I would thoroughly recommend Riptide, very accommodating and great communication with them ahead of the event.”

“We couldn't be more pleased with our choice of the Northern Star as the band for our wedding on the 22nd July 2023 in Northumberland (a Swedish-English fusion wedding)!!! - The band was so professional, warm, calm and seamlessly blending in during communications, preparations leading up to our event and setting up before we arrived at the venue and packing up at the end. Never any gaps or awkward moments and really crisp sound throughout. - Their 2x30min (generous 30min) acoustic duo set was the perfect choice to set the atmosphere for the night during arrival mingles and canapés. - They are such comfortable and amazingly skilled musicians rocking instruments like banjo, mandolin, double bass, drums, violin, guitar, flute etc. (we added banjo and violin to the trio to have a five piece band, which is impossible to evaluate if necessary, but they were great together) and could therefore follow the flow of the dance floor rocking a Cotton Eye Joe longer as the whole wedding party was in barn dance mode at the time and playing really slick medleys coming in and out of songs to make the crowd roar. - They filled the gaps before, between and after sets with perfectly fitting DJ music and listened to every single request of even Swedish songs that we knew would get the crowd hopping in surprise without flinching. - We got so many guests coming up during the night and in the days after saying how amazing they were and asking where we had found them and that they would be great for any event. We loved them! (NB! - We have no affiliations to the band or agency and the price is like for all wedding bands quite substantial, but we haven't regretted one second going with these real pros!)”

“Kelly was both lovely and really talented, we would recommend her to anybody. She was very professional and created a warm, laid-back atmosphere which suited the occasion. She was accommodating of the specific song requests we asked for and put together a setlist which was perfect for the audience. She was very good at reading the room and our guests were extremely complimentary of her performance. Thank you so much Kelly!”
