“I'm a huge metal head, but I wanted a "more crowd pleasing" sets for my wedding. They did a very energetic rock music filled set first, but for their second set later in the evening they did Slipknot, System of a Down and Tenacious D. And let me tell you, the crowd went absolutely wild and I was living my best life! I danced so hard I don't know how my wedding dress survived it. :D They are incredibly talented musicians and they have an excellent ability to read the room. I could not be happier! I had a fantastic night!”

Guests arrived to a soundtrack that felt perfectly curated for the moment - light, joyful and beautifully played. Their presence immediately made the occasion feel special. As we moved into the Long Gallery and then the Tudor Hall, City Strings handled the transitions with total finesse. They seemed to read the room instinctively, adjusting their energy and repertoire to match the flow of the afternoon. Whether guests were chatting, moving between spaces or settling in for the first part of the carvery, the music always felt exactly right. Their range was astonishing. From musicals to pop favourites to classical pieces, every performance was polished, expressive and full of personality. They didn’t just play - they connected. The guests adored them and the atmosphere they created was nothing short of brilliant. City Strings were, in every sense, outstanding. They were also a pleasure to work with. Jimmy was always quick to respond to our questions and was incredibly flexible with timings on the day, making everything feel stress-free. We had so many compliments about the band afterwards and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them!”

“Where do we even start?! Matthew was honestly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. He sang throughout our ceremony, played guitar, learned our aisle song especially for us, absolutely smashed our first dance, made all of our announcements and even brought his kick drum, he just went above and beyond. He was exactly what we’d imagined and more. His voice is incredible, he created such a lovely atmosphere all day, and nothing was ever too much trouble. Everyone has been asking who he was and people are still talking about how amazing he was! We genuinely couldn’t recommend Matthew enough. If you’re thinking about booking him, do it, you won’t regret it. Thank you so much for making our day so special!”
