The communication and discussions on what we were wanting and helping with suggestions with a catalogue of a wide range of music for all tastes to his outstanding performance. Would definitely recommend to have play at any event and would 100% book again!!!!”

“James performed at our recent wedding at Frickley Lake on 6th September 2024. The ceremony was supposed to be outside, but the heavens opened and so we had to move the ceremony in last minute (with all guests having to grab chairs and make a new ceremony space - chaos). James adapted to this with no stress at all, and without us even noticing. We requested he play an acoustic version of my mum an dads wedding song for our 'walking down the aisle song'. He did this so beautifully, it reduced half the room to tears. He played it exactly as I imagined, and it was perfect. So many guests commented on how amazing James's set was, and how his set really made the ceremony and drinks reception. If we were to do it all again, I would re-hire James in a heartbeat. “The Sonics were truly amazing!! Totally went above and beyond our expectations. Our wedding would not have been the same without the sonics there to entertain our guests. From the acoustic set during our drinks reception through to the evening party set the band were so professional and they are so talented. Everyone has said how great they were and it was banger after banger on the dance floor! It doesn’t take much for me to get on the dance floor but I didn’t want to leave!! Rob (my husband) isn’t much of a dancer but even he had a good boogy! The dance floor was full all night. Tom was so helpful from the moment we were put in touch with each other. We made a change to our first dance a couple of weeks before the big day and Tom was accommodating and helped support our changes. Our first dance was just perfect. The whole band were lovely and fit into our day perfectly. Thank you so much!”

“Thank you so much, the day was perfect and the band was a large part of why! I'm so glad I stuck to my guns and insisted on a live band. Their energy levels were phenomenal (I have no idea how they're able to just keep going song after song!) and everybody loved their sets. If you could please pass on our thanks to all the band members, we thought they were incredible and we adored their rendition of our first dance song. Sarah wants to say an extra thanks - we had requested a last dance song 'High' by Lighthouse Family that was performed brilliantly but didn't hit quite the way she hoped with the crowd... the band spontaneously looked to her to see if we were up for one 'final final' song. Of course we were! They then broke into Uptown Funk, which is one of her absolute all time favourite songs to dance to. It just couldn't have been a more perfect way to end the night - she even thought *I* had made my own special request but it was genuinely just the band going with their gut and reading the room. ”
