The Low Down were the perfect band!

“The Low Down were the perfect band for the Officers’ Mess Summer Ball at Fort Blockhouse. Communication was hassle free and they arrived early to get set up so were ready in plenty of time. They were really accommodating of our other entertainers, working together to make sure the programme fitted the event. When it came to the music, they were brilliant. A great sound from the 3 piece band, a broad repertoire which kept the dance floor full all night. There were songs to keep everyone happy; I’m pretty sure I saw everyone dancing at some time during the night. The disco between sets was great too; no DJ to get embarrassed by short periods of empty dance floor while we recovered, but a great choice of songs (which we helped pick) kept the dancing going all night and the software for playing it provided a seamless transition between songs giving the impression that a real DJ was spinning the records. Packing away at the end of the night was also painless and allowed the party to finish smoothly. As the organiser, I was really pleased with the ease of booking and arrangements. I enjoyed dancing more than I am used to and was really pleased that so many of the guests gave the thumbs up. I would book The Low Down again without hesitation.”

“We couldn't have asked for a better band! — The Low Down were phenomenal and had everyone up dancing from the moment they started until the moment they finished....our wedding party even chanted for an encore which they were more than happy to do! And had everyone signing along with the final song! They learnt and played our first dance accompanied by a duet with our sister-in-law on vocals - this was something we will cherish forever. They are the nicest guys with a fantastic sound and their set list was perfect. So glad the wedding dress allowed for a serious amount of dancing! We highly recommend The Low Down for any occasion.”

We loved how versatile and diverse the music was and they played to suit all types and kept everyone dancing! “We booked The Low Down for our charity fundraiser/20th anniversary ball and they were absolutely fantastic. We wouldn't hesitate to book them again or refer to friends! I had briefly spoken with them prior to the evening, and they were very helpful in making recommendations to the set-up and flow. They arrived exceptionally early to set-up and sound check, and were very professional throughout the evening. They were extremely accommodating in playing live music for us as we presented the awards at short notice (in addition to the live sets we had booked!). The Low Down were really good at engaging with the crowd and kept the dancefloor full! They played a great range of music and we had a lot of positive feedback from our guests about them. They arrived on time and worked around our schedule for set up. They were professional in their approach but gave our guests exactly what they were looking for- fantastic music that was impossible not to dance to! “I trusted lead singer/guitarist Ben with arranging the entertainment for my 40th birthday party and he and the rest of the band did not disappoint. Ben liaised with me over timings for the smooth running of the evening which all went to plan. The band even learnt a new song at my request (Arctic Monkeys - R U Mine? so not an easy request but they performed it faultlessly and true to the original!). Aside from getting to listen to this amazing band I also got to sing with them! This really made the night for me and I can't thank them enough. All the band members were very friendly and easy to get on with. They played to such a high standard of musicianship and put on a really slick, polished performance. People of all ages were on the dance floor from start to finish and calling for encores. I wouldn't hesitate to book The Low Down again and to recommend them to friends.”
