Full Biography
Velvet Lounge are a modern jazz band delivering style and elegance with their meticulously arranged versions of classic and contemporary popular songs plus a generous helping of the traditional jazz standards. Realising a gap in the market, this talented line up have created a sophisticated musical act that mixes formal and fun in just the right amounts.
Made up of 5 versatile and experienced performers, Velvet Lounge's members all work entirely within the performance industry and have done so for over 10 years each. The band are based in London, and between them, have played at most of the exclusive venues around town.
Lead singer, Denquar has held numerous residencies in top West End hotels such as the Leopard Bar, Reubens, The Palace & The Primo Bar, Park Plaza Westminster. She has performed around the world, most recently in Japan and Hong Kong.
All the instrumentalists are qualified to degree level, and are trained to develop a rapport with their audience, bringing out the best in any event.
Your Event
If you want to elevate the status of your event, Velvet Lounge are your band!
Only industry grade equipment is used and the band dress to impress. The band will make any announcements that you require plus wireless microphones are available for speeches.
Velvet Lounge also offer a roaming option. The band can serenade your guests during your drinks reception, or at their tables during dinner. No need for a plug point with this option, the sound is totally acoustic.
Velvet Lounge carry 5M public liability insurance. Electrical testing, health & safety and risk assessment documents can also be proved upon request from your venue. The band can make flexible arrangements with regards set up and performance so please ask if you have any special requirements.
