Full Biography
Meet Lorraine – Lead Vocalist Lorraine has refined her musical style into a seamless and soulful fusion of jazz, infused with a distinctive Celtic essence, paying homage to her Irish heritage. With a background performing on stage and national TV in Ireland, Lorraine's journey took an inspiring turn when she crossed paths with her idol, Barbra Streisand, during a chance encounter in Italy a few years back. This serendipitous meeting reignited Lorraine's passion for music, motivating her to refocus on her own artistic pursuits after dedicating herself to raising three children.
Introducing Rob – MD Keyboards Originally trained in classical music, Robert's musical journey took a turn during his teenage years when he developed a deep passion for Pop, Soul, and Jazz genres. Throughout his career, he has lent his keyboard expertise to numerous artists, including iconic names such as Cliff Richard, The Supremes, Kim Wilde, and Rietta Austin, contributing to their live performances and studio recordings with his exceptional talents.
Introducing Pete – Guitarist Pete stands as a signed artist with MGP Records, boasting an impressive resume alongside esteemed international musicians. His collaborations span across a diverse array of talents, including Alec Dankworth, Vasilis Xenopolis, Laurance Cottle, and Rob Fowler, among many others. Pete's guitar prowess has graced performances with luminaries such as Steve Vintner, Brian Dee, and Rosemary Squires, to name a few.
Beyond the stage, Pete's contributions extend to festivals, universities where he's lectured on guitar, and the recent establishment of Roth Academy, offering high-end guitar performance sessions in a contemporary blended learning format. Notably, he's also penned the Q&A segment for Total Guitar Magazine back in 2000. With such a rich tapestry of experiences, Pete continues to inspire with his musical journey.
Meet Mike – Bassist, Double Bassist, Composer, and Producer Based in London, Mike is a multifaceted musician whose talents extend across various genres and roles within the music industry. Recently, he has collaborated with notable figures such as country artist and TV presenter Laura Evans, West End musical star Oliver Tompsett, and 90's soul band Curiosity Killed the Cat. Notably, Mike serves as the musical director for the live theatre rockumentary "Seven Decades," which enjoyed a successful run at the V&A.
Currently, Mike is lending his production skills to songs for Jamie Johnson, a semi-finalist of The Voice, showcasing his versatility in both performance and production. Within the London jazz scene, Mike's bass expertise has graced performances with Acantha Lang, Dave O'Higgins, and Liane Carroll, at renowned venues including Ronnie Scott's, The Jazz Cafe, the Royal Albert Hall, and even the esteemed Cape Town Jazz Festival. With his diverse range of experiences and talents, Mike continues to make his mark in the music world.
Introducing John – Drummer John's journey in percussion began with four years of dedicated study at the esteemed National Academy of Rudimentary Drummers of Australia, under the tutelage of the highly respected instructor, Harry Lebler. His proficiency extends beyond drums, as he is also accomplished in playing various percussion instruments.
With a career spanning over five decades, John's rhythm has resonated internationally with numerous jazz, fusion, soul, and rock groups, gracing stages in approximately thirty countries across the globe. Notably, he concluded a six-year tenure with the Asian band Graveyard Shift, headquartered in Singapore. With his extensive experience and versatile skill set, John continues to leave an indelible mark on the music scene.
