MJG Guitar is a Bristol-based singer-guitarist with a soulful voice, magnetic stage presence, and over 13 years of live experience across the UK and abroad. Whether performing solo or with a full band, MJG delivers unforgettable sets tailored to each audience—be it in a lively pub, a packed wedding venue, or an international stage.
His musical journey began on the streets of Cambridge, honing his craft as a busker and learning to command a crowd—often playing late into the night for revellers spilling out of nightclubs. That raw, energetic start gave him the edge in captivating audiences of all kinds.
Since relocating to the South West in 2015 to study Commercial Music at Bath Spa University, MJG has become a regular at top venues in Bath and Bristol, including Komedia, Thekla, The Louisiana, Rough Trade, and Moles. He’s also shared stages with acclaimed acts like Brothers Moving and Carl Barât & The Jackals.
Musically, MJG draws inspiration from the golden eras of British rock (Oasis, The Beatles, The Stone Roses), contemporary folk (Bon Iver, Passenger), and timeless soul and reggae (Marvin Gaye, Bob Marley). His extensive repertoire of covers—honed during years of busking—spans decades and genres, always ready to keep the crowd singing and dancing.
