"5 Go Swing" draw their inspiration from the passion and beauty of Gypsy Jazz. Formed in Cardiff in 2004 they quickly left their mark on the local jazz scene thrilling audiences with an irresistible mix of beautiful melodies combined with compelling dynamic and rhythmic variety. These musicians play with a zest and intensity that expresses the passion and romance of the Gypsy tradition. Their repertoire moves between lyrical mid-tempo swing jazz tunes to profound ballads traditional gypsy dances exhilarating up-tempo swing swaying bossa bolero and waltz. Their growing reputation has led to invitations to play at jazz venues across Wales jazz festivals (such as the Brecon Jazz Festival) and private functions. Their music has proved particularly popular for creating a lively joyful atmosphere for wedding receptions.

They completely got the party atmosphere going whilst all the photographs were being taken and kick-started our evening celebration at our reception. Listening to the music spilling out of the room and seeing all our guests with huge grins on their faces was wonderful and the band was truly magnificent.
