1964 are an instrumental Acoustic Jazz Guitar duo based in the UK's South West.
They specialise in providing a blend of laid back instrumental Acoustic Jazz, Gypsy swing, Latin and Bebop music that will enhance any occasion.
They regularly perform at a number of popular Dorset restaurants and bars including the Blue Fish restaurant in Portland and Hugh Fernley Whittingstall's River cottage HQ. They have also performed at a number of high profile venues and corporate events including, The Lamar Tree and for the past two consecutive years (2014 & 2015), the opening gala day at the Chelsea flower show.
From elegant cocktail parties and restaurant dining to wedding receptions and festivals, 1964 provide beautiful music that will enhance your experience.
Who We are...
Steve Garden is a versatile and highly accomplished professional Guitarist with over 38 years playing experience. Steve has toured extensively throughout Europe and has been involved in a number of successful Jazz projects. As well as continuing to write and record original compositions, he's also in high demand as a professional Guitar teacher.
Andy Taylor has a long and varied history of performance which covers everything from Gypsy jazz to Funk and Rock. Andy has been the resident Guitarist at a popular Dorset restaurant for a number of years. He has played widely throughout the UK and has also toured Europe.
