Due to pregnancy the band will be using a deputy female vocalist for new bookings during summer 2013.
The Cartoon Kings The Cartoon Kings perform mainly in the Midlands area and like most bands offer a large selection of songs by original artists. However The Kings also offer the choice of either electric or acoustic shows making them ideal for ANY private function festival or corporate event. They can cater for weddings parties special occasions; Oozing with personality and style the Cartoon Kings can supply whatever you’re looking for!
Each band member has many years of experience at playing live so you can expect a professional show with up to 2 hours of live music which still maintains a raw energetic feeling. They can provide a three piece line up if needed for smaller venues. The Kings will play music via a laptop between sets which is included in the price! Or provide a separate DJ for an extra fee.
The Cartoon Kings' repertoire ranges from Oasis to Florence and the Machine, Van Morrison to The Beatles. There is a wide and versatile selection in the rock/pop genre as well as guaranteed 'dance-floor' classics like Make Me Smile I’m a Believer and Brown-Eyed Girl with up to date music from artists such as Duran Duran, Snow Patrol, Kings of Leon and Amy Winehouse completing the play list.
Based around a 5-piece line-up the band are Mat Dale (vocals/guitar) Rich Morgan (bass) Wes Fife (drums) Ken Hughes (piano).

IMPORTANT- Please Note: * This band are unable to perform at venues with sound limiters set below 92db * The band prefer a stage where ever possible but they are happy to perform on the floor as long as there is a 3ft space between them and the dance floor. This is for the safety of the band members and their equipment and due to the high energy level of their performance. * Under no circumstances are audience members/ guests to enter the stage area and touch or try to use any of the equipment. The band prides themselves on excellent quality gear and therefore do not let non band members use it.

"Hi Rebecca,
I wanted to let you know how fantastic the Cartoon Kings were at our Annual Awards Ceremony.
The band were very accommodating and flexible particularly regarding timings on the night – we did run over schedule with the awards. ( Although the Olympic Flame caused a lot less trouble than anticipated!)
Staff have commented that the liked the range of music played and that they were happy to do requests – my own personal favourite being the Temper Trap’s Sweet Disposition – I wasn’t expecting that at all!
Please pass on my thanks and regards to the band and thanks to you for all of your help with the booking before hand particularly with some of the more obscure questions!

"We took a risk booking a band that we had never seen before but I trusted the reviews on Alive Network and after listening to the band on the internet we made our booking.
I can honestly say that the day just wouldnt have been the same without Becky and Matt and the rest of the band. They instantly became part of our guests, milling around chatting to everyone and they genuinaly seemed to be having a great time.
Before we knew it they were set up and ready to play and instantly everyone was up dancing and they didnt stop all night. The music was incredible and they sounded a million times better than they did on the internet (and that sounded great). Becky's voice is just perfect and the tempo was upbeat all night.
The play list was incredible, the band was incredible and without them the night just wouldnt have beent he same. AMAZING !! I cant seem to thank them enough. They truely are one of the good ones!!!!
Clare at Alive network has also been great and it has been a pleasure to book through them. Very professional and somebody always got back to me when I had a question to ask. Between you both we would just like to say a HUGE thankyou for the memories of our day that we will cherish forever.

"The Cartoon Kings played at our wedding in May 2012 and I could not recommend them enough. They arrived promptly and were very friendly and professional.
They played an acoustic version of our first dance song and it was absolutely beautiful. All of our guests ran on to the dance floor as soon as the first dance was over and started dancing. We were over the moon when our guests were up dancing all night long because this was really important to us.
The band played a brilliant variety of songs and classic anthems, everybody had a good sing along. The band seem to genuinely enjoy what they do and they are definitely worth every penny!"

"Cartoon Kings are an absolutely superb band - everybody at our wedding loved them: they were very talented, had a great range of songs (including our first dance song that they had learnt especially), and were very friendly and pleasant too.
The DJ was also great and we loved the fact that the band stayed to keep him company to the very end. Both the band and DJ day were a fabulous end to a fabulous day.
