Petition to make ceilidhs compulsory at all weddings
Rabscallion

Jessica C booked Rabscallion for their Wedding
DerbyshireJuly 2025
It's difficult to know where to begin to sum up how fantastic our experience was with Rabscallion, so before I start to waffle, if anybody is teetering on the edge of booking... do it!
We'd actually seen Robin and the team in action before at another wedding, and we knew that when it was our turn, booking them for our own wedding would guarantee us an evening full of laughter and fun - and lo and behold, not only were our suspicions correct, but our expectations were far exceeded.
Right from the start, Marc from Alive Network looked after us and was really responsive, and closer to the event, he put us in touch with Robin, who was on hand to answer any questions we had - communication is so crucial in the run up to a wedding, and we felt like we were in safe hands with the team.
Our wedding party of just under 100 consisted of many people who had never ceilidh danced before, and about 40% non-native English speakers, so we wondered how it would pan out - 'left' and 'right' would be fine, but would anybody be able to accurately translate 'thread the needle'?! :)
Luckily, as well as being brilliantly talented musicians and just generally lovely people, the group are also great teachers, so even with a slight language barrier, everyone was up and dancing, laughing, smiling and having the time of their lives - even those who neither of us have ever seen set foot on a dance floor before were choosing to join in! What more could you ask for for your wedding guests?
Rabscallion - we are so, so grateful to you for giving us such a great experience. It was an absolute delight to have you there, and we couldn't have chosen better. Thank you so much. We'll be recommending you to anyone and everyone with any events coming up :)
