The band (on the day) arrived prompt and were easy to organise in going through our requirements and knew how to get the audience going. “We booked The Arcadias from a personal friend's recommendation, following his own wedding a year or so before ours; and they joined us for an evening session on Saturday 14th April 2018. The managing agent that represents the band was very straightforward and easy to use for questions and answers before booking, which made that part all very easy (we didn't bother looking elsewhere or comparing pr...”“We booked The Arcadias from a personal friend's recommendation, following his own wedding a year or so before ours; and they joined us for an evening session on Saturday 14th April 2018. The managing agent that represents the band was very straightforward and easy to use for questions and answers before booking, which made that part all very easy (we didn't bother looking elsewhere or comparing prices, primarily due to the recommendation but also because in fact, they seemed very good value). We had planned a couple of hour long sets and wanted to take advantage of The Arcadias DJ and MC service that comes complimentary to the main act. As promised, the band got in touch with us a month or so prior to the wedding, to discuss what we wanted and any special requirements. We specifically wanted two first dance songs, one just for us (I had taken dance lessons after all...) and one for the guests to come and join us. We were actually delighted to hear that within a few days the band had already downloaded those songs ready for playing via the DJ service, it was something that we were expecting to have to send them ourselves and in fact, one less thing for us to worry about to be honest. One thing I would say to anyone that has never been the bride or groom at a wedding is that you don't realise how busy you are. We relied massively on everyone doing their jobs and when it came to the band, I was only part aware that they had joined the venue when they seemed to assemble from nowhere on our stage, having set up and completed their sound check. I have to say this is credit to them and the venue staff and again, really took a lot of the pressure off us in terms of having to sort things out or deal with questions and problems etc. We don't know if there were any hiccups on the night, but either way we didn't hear about them which is a good thing. We introduced ourselves, offered them a drink, covered over the basics of what we wanted for the first two dances, their sets and the DJ service and that was basically it. Four absolutely sound blokes who we had a laugh with and who put us at ease straight away. We asked them to have an absolute blast with the evening and that in turn kept our dance floor packed with something for everyone throughout the evening. Every guest that we have spoken to have mentioned The Arcadias and have said how fantastic they were. We were really pleased with their performance and have no doubt that we made the right choice for our wedding. I would 100% recommend The Arcadias to anyone looking for a quality band who are versatile and talented enough to put their own twists on well known current and also classic songs.
