Great band, shame about the venue!

Unfortunately although we knew there was a noise restriction due to neighbouring houses we didn't realise quite how limiting this would be - the band came and spoke to us about this on arrival - we were all so disappointed and frustrated and this impacted on the volume and the types of songs they could play - so it wasn't quite the experience we had hoped for through no fault of their own - but their professionalism and talent still shone through, they did their best and made sure to touch base with us afterwards before they left, which we really appreciated. “Couldn’t recommend dirty weekend enough, from initial contact to final performance they were absolutely brilliant. They read the the vibe of the room before each song and kept the dance floor full for the entire evening. The band arrived and set themselves up discretely and got everybody pumped for our first dance. “Absolutely 5 stars. We had our wedding a few days ago and Technicolour played an outside acoustic set during the reception drinks and the evening set. They were absolutely fantastic. Everyone was up and dancing and a few people even asked us for their number after as they were hoping to book them for their weddings in future. Could not recommend highly enough.”

Literally the BEST band I've ever heard at a wedding!

From the beginning, the communication with Dan and then Alex was so easy, they were up for all the requests and questions I made and nothing was too much trouble. Fast forward to the wedding day, they arrived on time, set up quickly and did a perfect version of our first dance song, Lover by Taylor Swift. Their voices and little subtle...”“Riptide were INCREDIBLE! I don't even know where to start. Fast forward to the wedding day, they arrived on time, set up quickly and did a perfect version of our first dance song, Lover by Taylor Swift. Their voices and little subtle changes to the song made it feel so personal and special for us, they gave it a wonderful subtle indie vibe so it didn't feel too pop-y and they just sounded incredible I was trying not to cry throughout the whole thing. I wish I could have their version recorded to reminisce at home. They really know how to play, their voices were perfect, their set list was amazing!! So many people commenting on the diverse set list, they had something for everyone. I didn't request any specific songs (apart from the first dance) I just put my trust in their judgement and I'm so glad I did. Their 3 sets were so much fun, every guest commented on how amazing they sounded, they assessed the crowd constantly and changed their set list accordingly depending on the age and energy on the dance floor. They were even great sports when one of our guests jumped up to use the mic at one point! We went over during one of the breaks to thank them and we got big hugs and huge smiles, such lovely lovely lads, having people like this on your wedding day really do make such a difference to the mood and vibe of the night. People were on the dance floor throughout, and once the pizza was served and energy restored to the guests the dance floor was packed! I really wish we had more excuses to book bands in the future because I would love to see them again and dance the night away. They really were the best band I've ever heard at a wedding, they were the perfect fit for us and if I had to do this all again I would book them again in a heart beat. I could gush about them for days, if you are umming and ahhing about picking the perfect band, you've already found them so book Riptide before they're gone.” Read more
