One of my only individual responsibilities for the wedding was organising the music, so I felt a good deal of pressure to make sure it was right. Alive Network was impressive due to its range of artists to choose from, but while I cannot comment on other acts, I cannot speak highly enough of Gold. They were friendly and professional in the build up, but most importantly performed amazingly on the night. My major concern was keeping the dance floor full and having the energy high throughout the last few hours of the night. I think it would be fair to say the marquee was bursting with energy throughout, and I don't think I've ever seen a fuller dance floor at a wedding. I am so pleased that I booked the extra sax and trumpet, and that the band played mainly the soul/motown and disco/funk parts of their repertoire. It meant that everyone was up dancing from 20 year olds to the bride's 91 year old Grandma. They even let a friend of mine butcher 'Wonderful Tonight' during their break!
