The New Country Band perform at Coleen Nolan’s Wild West Party! Ceilidh Barn Dance Band For Hire!

Alive Network’s country music outfit – The New Country Band – have been asked to perform at Coleen Nolan’s Wild West Charity Ball at Old Trafford this weekend (Saturday June 8th).

The band’s guitarist and bandleader Brian Heywood was knocked for six when Coleen’s husband, and guitarist, Ray Fensome contacted the band’s management to ask them if they could provide live entertainment for the high profile charity event at one of England’s most prestigious cricket grounds.

The bill includes a star studded line-up including performances from Coleen along with special guests such as Carolynne Poole (last year’s X Factor finalist), her son’s band, and of course a rockin’ country song and dance set from the The New County Band!

The event is in aid of Sara’s Hope Foundation, a charity that was set up to offer a respite to teenage cancer patients and their families. Coleen and Ray became patrons of the charity after Ged and Julie (foundations of the Sara’s Hope Foundation) contacted them and related Sara’s story. Since then Coleen and Ray have been raising money for the charity by staging events and for charity appearances such as on Celebrity Who Wants to be a Millionaire which raised £25,000 for the cause.
