“For many years I have wanted to go on a jazz boat; hiring one for the celebration of my 70th birthday seemed the way to go and I chose The John Rennie restaurant boat on the Kennett and Avon Canal. Alive Network did the task of finding out which of my 3 preferred options was available; Jazzmatazz was my choice. The Jazzmatazz quartet was superb. It is not easy to perform in the confines of a narrow boat surrounded by food and 50 people but they were brilliant. My guests have not stopped talking about it and sending messages of praise for the professional performance they gave which was accompanied by such a warm, friendly approach on the part of all members of the band. One of my friends had requested - if possible - the Humphrey Lyttelton number 'Onions'. I mentioned this to the leader just a couple of days before the event and they played it, thus making someone very happy! If only I can find another occasion to book Jazzmatazz - I'm not sure I can wait till my 75th!”

They looked, sounded and performed very professionally and the music they played as we walked out from our wedding ceremony was a perfect start to the celebrations. All of our guests commented about the band and the atmosphere they created on a sunny afternoon drinking glasses of Pimms. “Jazzmatazz got our wedding off to the most swinging start! They arrived early, looked great and most importantly of all our guests loved them. People of all ages were dancing to them -and hearing the band playing as we came out of the church and walked to our reception was fantastic. It let us shrug off any formalities of the service -and get the party started. It was everything we hoped for. Great tunes, great band. I would thoroughly recommend them! ”
