The best wedding band I have ever heard!

“We don’t know where to begin. As a wedding planner myself, I have worked with a ton of bands over the past 6 years. I knew for my own wedding, I wanted the music to reflect my husband and I rather than be a ‘classic’ wedding band. We decided we wanted jazzy vibes with gorgeous music you could bob around to with a cocktail in hand. We aren’t big dancers, so this criteria felt perfect for us. We searched online for so many jazz and electro swing bands with an edge, and then we found ‘Velvet Lounge’. Paul the band lead (also on sax) was such a delight - a super fun, friendly and lovely man who gave us tons of information and help in the run up to the wedding. The repertoire of song choices to choose from was excellent, my husband and I enjoyed listening to the full list of songs in the run up to the wedding to create the perfect 3 band sets. Our guest list was mostly friends in their late twenties, and we had our parents and grandparents there too, there was songs from all eras to suit everyone! Paul was quick to respond via email, and always super helpful and friendly. They even asked what style of clothing they should wear, and came dressed head to toe in glitter which was perfect for our Christmas wedding. When the band arrived on the night, they couldn’t have been a more lovely bunch of people. Super chatty, friendly and they almost felt like extra friends at the wedding. They blended in seamlessly and seemed excited to be with us which was so gorgeous. Denquar the lead singer - the most incredible voice and the most beautiful lady we have ever seen! Think smokey luxury whiskey bar vibes jazz style singing. She just blew our minds, along side all of the live instruments, just pure magic. One of mine and Mikes most memorable moment of the day was being taken for couple photos in the evening just outside the room the band were setting up and doing their sound check in. We were mid photo, and Denquar and the band began singing/playing the song ‘A night like this’ and Mike and I just looked at each other wide eyed, with goose bumps with how insane they sounded. We literally couldn’t wait for them to begin performing. We didn’t expect the style of music to be the type that required a ‘official’ dance floor, and as we arent big dancers, we didn’t expect to dance much. However, the moment we heard the band begin to play, us and our entire wedding party came running from the bar to the dance floor. They created the most magical, atmosphere, adding Christmas songs in between songs too. Our wedding party couldn’t believe how good the band were, and I can honestly say I think the band were my favourite part of the entire day. I keep looking for every excuse under the sun to have another celebration and invite the band to play for us again. I cannot recommend Velvet lounge enough! ?? thank you for bringing the most incredible atmosphere to our wedding day. You guys really are just incredible. I will 100% find an excuse to hire Velvet lounge for a personal event one day again!”

“Booked Velvet Lounge for our office winter party. Paul helped organise everything, and was extremely quick to reply to any messages/queries. On the day the band made sure everything was in place for when guests arrived, and were able to read the room well as to what music should be played. They were very professional, punctual and organised themselves well with little input from ourselves. The musicians were great and performed to a high standard! Would definitely recommend vivid jazz for any event if you want a high quality performance that is ran smoothly!”
