“The Upstarts were (and I can't stress this enough) AMAZING at our wedding day!!! They were great in the build up: We had a call with them a couple of months beforehand and went through our plan for the day, the style of music we like, some songs we wanted from their set list, and we were confident they were going to do a good job. But wow, they were way better than we had ever imagined, and our guests were blown away, everyone wanted to know where we had got them. Two sets perfectly pitched to the mood in the room, first a few oldies and rock and roll etc, and the second set was mainly some indie/punk rock that had the room jumping. Chris the lead singer was phenomenal, and the guitarist is amazingly talented, with some solos that had the whole room going crazy. They were really fun too, with plenty of engagement with the crowd. They made me and my bride feel like rockstars as well! Also huge credit to them because we were running late and they had to deal with the buffet overlapping with their first set, but they handled it like absolute pros. I genuinely cannot recommend them enough, they were one of the best things about our wedding day. Thanks so much lads!”

“Great communications from Jak. Thank you so much guys. Just what we wanted. Overall just a brilliant band, had the whole place up and dancing from the first song to the last. Chris is an amazing front man. We really liked how they felt unique and very fresh, yet stilled played the songs everyone wants and expects at a wedding. We added keys, sax and a female vocalist to the line up which were also really good additions and made the night that bit more special. Thank you once again. We've both said if we get married again we know what band we want ?? ”

“The Upstarts were a fantastic live band for our wedding who really got the crowd dancing and we're really grateful to them for playing Friday I'm in love - the cure. Song after song were well known classics that everyone was dancing to and singing along to a point where we just couldn't leave the dance floor in case we missed the next song. The energy Chris, Jak and the other band members gave was fantastic and we received alot of compliments the days following on from their performance.”

The band brilliantly improvised during a short powercut and seamlessly continued with acoustic songs to continued the party. The Upstarts provided great energy and people were on the dancefloor all night and we 100% recommend The Upstarts!”

“The Upstarts played at our wedding reception. From the initial booking they were very communicative and accommodating to all of our requests. When they arrived on the day they were very professional, there performance was incredible and we had lots of compliments from our guests. They had guests of all ages up on the dance-floor and really made my partner and I the star of the show by making references to us throughout the night. Days later we are still receiving positive comments about them. We would highly recommend.”
