“Their stage act is stunning, fast paced and with modern and well presented illusions, which keeps the audience thrilled and entertained which is apparent by the applause. Jason is a well accomplished close up performer who presents original and baffling magic effects always leaving the audience wanting more. Jason and Joanne are always a big hit at the Derby Magic Circle shows and last year stole the show!”

“Great Illusions of Magic combine magic, martial arts and illusion in a unique show. The audience at London's longest running monthly magic show 'Conjuring at the Court' have seen a lot of magic but they were thrilled at the drama of the duo. Jason uses cards as weapons hurling cards with such force as to slice vegetables and burst balloons, presenting the classic cardboard box illusion with energy and pulsing music or Joanne's graceful fan dance, this was something different colourful and dramatic that held and sustained the audience's attention throughout. It makes for a great piece of theatre!”

There's no shortage of “how did they do that?” moments

“There's no shortage of “how did they do that?” moments. Playing cards “spear” balloons and slice through other playing cards. It’s the classic illusion set pieces fine-tuned and updated, but these routines still appeal – it appears from this experience - across the generations. The artistry of fan dancing and sword sorcery and the mystery of how a woman can emerge unscathed from a cardboard box that’s been given more perforations than a well-known brand of tea bag with an armful of canes and a ringmaster’s venom.”
