“I recently booked the City String Trio to perform at my daughter's wedding. After consulting several groups, I found this trio to be one with a great deal of experience and many satisfied customers. We required traditional music for the ceremony and some more "light hearted" and upbeat music for the following reception. All of our requests were happily accepted and performed on the day. This group clearly has a large repertoire to suit all tastes and a highly professional approach to their performances. The City String Trio produces a full sound and you would be hard pressed to tell the difference between this trio and a quartet. They arrived at the church in plenty of time before the ceremony, and then moved on to the reception venue, ready to play before any of the guests had arrived. In short, they added a huge element of class and style to help make my daughter's day perfect. I would highly recommend the City String Trio without any hesitation.”

“Our whole service was made just perfect by having the beautiful music played by the City String Trio. We cannot thank them enough for the punctuality and the service they provided, with fun and professionalism. We had a specific agenda on the songs we wanted played and my partner had a quite specific piece to walk out of the service to. We wanted not the typical classic tunes but ones that showed there was still time to run away… such as "Don’t Marry Her"… and "Run for the Hills"... The group arranged these tunes and did a great job. The theme tune to Benny Hill went down a storm. Very grateful…”

“Gemma at Alive Network was prompt in all correspondence, thus ensuring our booking was straightforward and removing the need for me to contact Alive Network to double check information. City String Trio were incredibly professional and played beautifully at our wedding - I just wish that I had been able to listen to them more instead of being whisked away for photos all the time! The Trio played the music we had requested and were a joy to listen to. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and would love to book them again!”

“The trio had a large repertoire so they were quite versatile from playing jazzy tunes when guests started arriving and were sitting down for a garden cream tea party to playing beautiful classical pieces for our ceremony- they even improvised in such a professional manner when the bridal party walked down the aisle. They took so long that the piece ended so when it was time for me (the bride) to walk down the aisle they quickly improvised and starting playing again so it looked as if it had been rehearsed all along...very impressed! They also chose a beautiful piece for the exit of the bridal party (as I was running around like a headless chicken the day before the wedding so missed to specify what we wanted)! We are also very grateful to Gemma from Alive Network who coordinated all the different bands we hired as well as offered outstanding customer service when it came to being flexible about being able to pay by card and asking the bands about our special requests! The 3 bands we hired from AliveNetwork were exceptional and we wouldn't hesitate them to use their services again.”
