Full Biography
London based jazz cover duo, Velvet Duo is made up of Violaine, a singer from France and Luca, a guitarist from Italy. They met at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance of London in 2016 where they both studied Creative Musicianship. After graduating, and enjoying every collaboration, they formed Velvet Duo.
Velvet Duo offers a vast repertoire of covers of disco and pop classics from the 70s and 80s such as Staying Alive by the Bee Gees, Knock On Wood by Amii Stewart or Tiny Dancer by Elton John. Live, with elegant guitar parts and husky sensual vocals, Velvet Duo creates a warm, intimate and tasteful atmosphere that is familiar and exciting, allowing audiences to either sing along or let the music embellish the background.
Professional and experienced in playing for various audiences including weddings, corporate events and private functions, the duo excels at creating the perfect atmosphere for your event.
Both members have vast experience perfoming live in Function and Party bands and also perform with their own original projects.
