Authentic Cuban son – red hot rhythms straight from the streets of Eastern Cuba!
An intoxicating fusion of authentic Spanish and African rhythms, The Cubanaires give traditional son a contemporary edge that never fails to spice up festivals, corporate events, weddings and private parties.
Most of the band originate from Santiago De Cuba and they’re all renowned recording artists in their own right. The line-up is flexible to fit the occasion – from the standard 6 piece band to a traditional Cuban septeto, right through to a full-on 8-piece! Optional dancers in full costume create a spectacular show, while dance workshops give guests the opportunity to sharpen their salsa skills.

Meet The Band
On vocals, percussion and guitar, Yuri is a true superstar, having performed with the likes of the Buena Vista Social Club. Having performed publicly since the age of 12, she is a born entertainer and many have likened her to a young Celia Cruz.
Also on vocals and percussion, Alfonso De Jesus has played all over the world and is considered the finest male salsa singer this side of the Atlantic. The brilliant Manuel Alejandro Tellez on trés and backing vocals is another high-class performer.
The Cubanaire’s rhythm section boasts the extraordinary talents of Reynaldo Crespo on Guitar, Oscar Vazquez Romero on bass, and Raudelis 'Piqui' Cisnero on congas. They’re the force that drives the music along. And soaring above it all, there’s the trumpet of virtuoso Victor Hechevarria, who has toured world wide with several renowned Cuban bands and is an ex-member of the Santiago Symphony Orchestra.
