Full Biography
Inspired by the Golden Age of Jazz the Italian – American vocalist Jessica gives shape to The VelveTones project at the very beginning of 2017.
The 5 piece band pays homage to the Ladies of Jazz revisiting the Great American Songbook and tunes made famous by the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Julie London to mention a few providing an approach at once refreshing and faithful to the original style of the Era.
The very spirit of the Golden Age of Jazz is brought back to life through tunes and costumes celebrating all Jazz from the Roaring 20s to the Post WWII with manouche influences; blues contaminations and quotes to the Italian and Mediterranian melodies for a show engaging and enthralling.
