The Cool Jazz Quintet provide thoughtful and subtle variations on the jazz theme to encompass Bossa Nova, Swing, Be-bop, smooth grooves and cool jazz styles of Miles Davis’ golden era. Their repertoire contains literally thousands of jazz classics such as Summertime, Take 5, Fly Me To The Moon, It Ain’t Got That Swing and lots more from the American songbook.
With Chris at the forefront, leading and directing the Quintet; the importance of professionalism, timeliness, dress codes and flexibility are as important to him as being musically adept. Having toured all over the world at events as far afield as Qatar, Dubai, Kuwait, Thailand; The Cool Jazz Quintet can just as easily enthrall and excite, as it can blend into the backdrop of any high society function.
Previous clients include: Richard Branson, Bill Clinton, Prince Charles, Lord Mandleson & Crowne Prince Haakon to name just a few!
Whether it's an evening of dancing or a soft laid back dinner set, the band is available at its full size or with various smaller combinations depending on the client needs. As a group they pride themselves on punctuality, presentation and of course musical excellence at every step of the way.
