Moon River Ensemble desires to make your event "Unforgettable"!
Consisting of exceptional young, professional musicians with rich musical training, this ensemble play music from both Jazz and Classical Music traditions.
Featuring both a Jazz Saxophonist and a Classical Violinist, their contemporary arrangements of timeless classics create romantic and nostalgic moods, bringing a sophisticated atmosphere to your special event.
The group has been glittered with praise for their ability as young gentleman to convey the sensibilities of times gone by. Able to adapt to any situation to ensure your event runs smoothly; Moon River Ensemble's performance can also be livened up with a drummer or a talented vocalist to sing your favourite songs at request (please see booking options).
The repertoire is expansive, covering well-known Classical Music, Old Jazz Favourites, Show Songs from Musicals and Tunes from the 'Golden Age' of Cinema. Whilst the group has an inclination towards nostalgia, being young and adept musicians, they are also able to perform the music of recent years.

“I was looking for musicians who would bring a fun, sophisticated and festive atmosphere for our first 'Palace Pub Quiz' - a large-scale adult learning event at the Banqueting House, Whitehall. Moon River provided just this, creating a warm welcome with their opening and closing performances of well-known pieces and also delighting the audience with their jazz renditions of historical pieces of music I requested for our music round! With over 250 audience members, the band entertained and impressed my audience and helped create the sense of occasion I was after.
